Setting up Thunderbird using POP3
(Using the POP3 protocol downloads all e-Mail's from the server to your local computer - no e-Mail's stay on the server)

On the first start of Thunderbird the setup wizard should start automatically.

If it doesn't start or you want to setup an additional e-Mail account you can do that by selecting Local Folders on the left and then click the Email button on the right.

Or via the File Menu > New > Existing Mail Account.

Enter your full name and e-Mail credentials and click continue.

After entering the correct username and password, Thunderbird should identify the correct mail-server settings.

Click on Configure manually… to change the Authentication from Encrypted password to Normal password and then click Done.
(Normal password within a secure connection to mail-server.cc encrypts your login, your password and the whole of your message which is more secure then just using encrypted passwords via unsecured connections.)

You are done!
Additional folders like Drafts, Junk and Sent will be created/mapped automatically by Thunderbird when needed the first time.
